The devices constituting the WN 110/15 kV equipment generate an electric and magnetic field with a frequency of 50 Hz. The source of fields in the WN switching station are:
medium voltage 15 kV rails and cables (main source of magnetic field),
power equipment of the HV switching station (including cables, disconnectors and rail switches, lightning arresters, voltage transformers) - the main source of the electric field,
transformer (source of relatively weak electromagnetic field).
Workers in the switchgear are exposed to electromagnetic fields during maintenance, repairs and switching operations. These activities are performed in electromagnetic fields of various sizes. The intensity of the electric field, due to the relatively high voltage occurring in the switchgear, in places where workers are routinely staying can reach up to a dozen or so kV / m (intermediate zone or danger!)
