Modern mobile telephone devices emit basic frequencies of 900 MHz or 1800 MHz, which are used for communication between mobile phones and antennas of base stations.
Data obtained from mobile telephony operators shows that the construction of nearly half of the base stations of mobile telephony in Poland met with protests from residents of nearby houses. The main reason for the protests is concern for health. Surveys conducted in the world indicate that residents of surrounding base stations report numerous subjective ailments, such as sleep disturbances, anxiety, nervousness, concentration disorders, headaches, etc.
The use of the GSM dosimeter allows checking the level of population exposure to electromagnetic fields emitted by base stations, mobile phones and other devices used for wireless communication and data transmission.
