The conditions of the doctor's exposure, performing the procedure using an electrocardiographic device, as well as other people depend on the mode of operation of the device and the type of electrode used, as well as on the method of laying the cables connecting the electrodes with the generator. Pulsed electromagnetic fields generated by electrosurgical devices can also cause interference in the operation of control and measurement devices operated near them
