All Starloggers now feature eight, 10-bit resolution unipolar, single ended analogue channels, four, 16-bit resolution, counter/frequency channels and two, 16-bit, Starbus HSIO lines with eight channels each. Their memory capacity is 512kB CMOS RAM. They also provide two power sources for external instruments. Scan rates extend from 125 milliseconds to 5 minutes.
The red Starlogger uses standard asynchronous RS-232 serial communications to communicate with a laptop computer or a modem connected to a telemetry system.
Starloggers are completely portable and contain an internal battery supply good for one year of normal operation.
Starloggers are fully programmable using the Starlog V4 programming language.
