MESOSCALE design is used to miniaturize the sensing element to less than 1 cc. The result is a simple, cleanable flow path, making CACTUS easy to apply, and tolerant to particles and material deposition. The water activity is measured with an additional sensing element, embedded in the CACTUS flow path.
