The BRIN400 series of closed loop Brinell hardness testers represent the latest in Brinell hardness testing technology. They are robust, reliable, proven and designed to meet a customer’s most demanding requirements in harsh industrial environments such as those found in foundries, forges and steelworks.
The BRIN400 Series is made up of the BRIN400B non-optical production Brinell hardness tester and the BRIN400D optical fully automatic production Brinell hardness tester.
Both of these models are robust and reliable shop floor production hardness testers and are in use all over the world providing repeatable, reliable Brinell hardness testing in a wide variety of environments from laboratories to steelworks and both come with the option of a powered lead screw as well as manual capstan.
The BRIN400 series fully meet the requirements of ISO 6506 and ASTM E10 and are available with UKAS certificates of calibration prior to despatch if required and recorded with the exception of calibration which is not operator variable.
BRIN400D Series
+ These features and attention to detail give complete operator independence over not only the test process but also the set up and the subsequent recording of the results. The BRIN400D features the Foundrax type D optical closed loop Brinell test head to give a production line Brinell hardness tester with the capacity to work in scales from HBW 2.5/62.5 to HBW 10/3000
+ The test force is monitored and adjusted 125 times per second via a specially built load cell specifically designed for use in Brinell hardness testing and the test forces are applied using a high quality Servo motor and Servo Drive giving full torque at no speed. This approach means that the test force is constantly adjusted to ensure that it is correctly applied within tight tolerances at all times giving levels of accuracy unparalleled in a production environment.

BRIN400B Series
+ The BRIN400B features the Foundrax type B non-optical closed loop Brinell test head to give a production line Brinell hardness tester with the capacity to work in scales from HBW 2.5/62.5 to HBW 10/3000.
+ The user can set the dwell time during commissioning or as required after which the test cycle is automatic with no further adjustment needed.
+ As with the BRIN400D, the test force is monitored and adjusted 125 times per second via a specially built load cell specifically designed for use in Brinell hardness testing and the test forces are applied using a high quality Servo motor and Servo Drive giving full torque at no speed.
+ Using the BRIN400 series is simple and easy and requires only the minimum of training.
