The displacement sensors of series RC35 are used in applications with harsh environmental conditions, which require a robust linear transducer with excellent linearity, long lifetime and ball joints.
The linear potentiometers of the series RC35 are designed for applications with harsh environmental conditions. For example the IP67 version is designed for mobile hydraulics and commercial vehicles. The mechanical coupling with ball joints compensates movements transversely to the push rod, so that non-linear movements can also be coupled simply and without stress. The mechanical detection of linear movement is done by a front guided push rod.
The potentiometric distance measurement is carried out with a high-resolution conductive plastic resistive element. The displacement encoder has a very long lifetime and high accuracy due to its good linearity. Since the potentiometric measuring principle delivers absolute values and requires no electronic conversion, the position feedback signal is true power on without delay, temperature stable and robust against EMC influences.
Customization on the cable (length, finishing with plug) or on the push rod (length, thread, flat ...) are available on request.
