- ULTRAPOL FIBERLAB Module System is a new product in ULTRA TEC’s Fiber Optic Polishing Product Line. The main FIBERLAB system provides all the angular control and polishing features required for the effective processing of bare optical fibers to produce a range of end shapes including CONES, BEVELS, FLATS, CHISELS (Screwdriver) and BEVELED BALL TIPS.
- An unique feature of the system is the MODULAR-nature of the system that enables the user to select from the FIBER LENS TYPE required, and to add the LENSING MODULE to the base machine with an ingenious QUICK RELEASE INTERFACE. This makes set-up and changeover between jobs fast and effective.
- Among the other MODULES is the FIBERLAB Microscope, which works in conjunction with the polisher to provide QA And Metrology with both a high magnification OFF-LINE camera, and a ‘live’ ONLINE camera to view the polishing interface DURING the production operation.
