The HD 9906.51 heating and ventilation unit is for use with solar radiation sensors (pyranometers, pyrgeometers and radiometers) and can be used outdoors, in all weather situation.
Instrument ventilation and uniformity of temperature increases the accuracy of the measurements of the pyranometer, and in particular prevents the deposition of dew and frost on the sensor optics and reduces the type A offset (found in pyranometers and pyrgeometers) because of the cooling the dome compared to the body of the instrument.
The heating can be used in environmental conditions extremes to prevent ice formation on the pyranometer dome (when the heater is on, it must be considered that the offset type A may increase, so it is advisable to use the heating for the only time necessary for the removal of snow or the ice formed on the instrument).
The HD 9906.51 heating and ventilation unit can be used with the pyranometers LP PYRA 02 and LP PYRA 10, pyrgeometer LP PIRG 01 and LP PHOT 02, LP 02 and LP 02 UVA UVB.
