The DCA5 and DCA50 (Detonation Calorimeter) are ideal for large scale measurements of heat produced by the detonation of energetic materials. Both utilize the classical constant volume arrangement combined with OZM Research™’s durable bomb design.
The DCA series is an excellent choice for testing industrial explosives (dynamites, emulsions, slurries, ANFO, etc.) and military grade high explosives (TNT, PETN, RDX, HMX, FOX-7 etc.). The DCA5’s testing vessel limit is 5 l and the DCA50’s volume is 14.5 l. Sample weights of up to 100 g of TNT equivalent in liquid, powder or pressed form are possible
